What are federated accounts?
Federated account allow the owner of a business to allocate edit or read-only access to their buildings or business. As account holders, you are able to invite other users to manage individual buildings within your account and/or to have guest (read-only) access to your entire business account (that means all the buildings in the business).
There are three roles, business owner, building manager and business guest. As existing account holders you become 'business owners'. Also any existing ‘building managers’ have been migrated into the new account structure.
Business owners have complete read and write access to the account, exactly as you do now. In addition, you will have the ability to invite 'building managers' or 'business guests'.
Building managers can only view, edit and export the building data they manage, unless they also have guest access.
Guests can view but cannot edit or export, any building data within your account. This includes building analysis, building meters and any associated meter readings.
